Book Consultation — $295

Law Merchant Solutions is a community service provider — not a law firm — and does not provide legal advice or representation.

Empowering Homeowners with the Knowledge to Fight Back

When a lender files a foreclosure action, most homeowners assume they have no options. In New York, that assumption is wrong. The law provides powerful defenses — statute of limitations bars, standing failures, FAPA violations, and notice defects — that go unchallenged every day simply because homeowners don't know they exist.

LMS closes that gap with a specific, limited-scope service: we review your case, identify every viable defense, and assist in preparing written materials based on publicly available information and your input, which you may choose to use in your own filings. We then walk you through how to e-file it yourself and arrange proper service on all required parties. You keep control. We give you the ammunition.

How We Work

Document-First Analysis

Every engagement begins with a thorough review of your docket and key court documents — the note, mortgage, assignments, default notices, and prior filings — because the defense is always in the paperwork.

Statute of Limitations Focus

The six-year clock under CPLR § 213(4) is the most powerful defense available. We analyze acceleration dates, prior filings, and FAPA applicability to determine if the clock has run — and draft the papers to say so in court.

Current Case Law

We track every significant NY foreclosure decision — including the Court of Appeals' landmark November 2025 rulings in Ponce De Leon and Van Dyke, and the 2026 Appellate Division decisions on FAPA retroactivity and post-judgment relief.

Homeowner-Only

We serve only homeowners — never lenders or servicers. There is no conflict between our mission and yours. Your home is the only priority.

Transparent, Limited Scope

Our engagement is clearly defined: we assist in preparing written materials you may use in your own filings. We do not appear in court, negotiate with the bank, or handle settlements. You always know exactly what we do — and what we don't.

Loan Modification Warning

Signing a loan modification can reset an expired statute of limitations — even if your lender's right to foreclose had already expired. Before signing anything, contact us to understand the impact on your defenses.

NY Foreclosure Services Specialist

Law Merchant Solutions · New York

Idris Abdus Saber founded Law Merchant Solutions to give New York homeowners access to sophisticated foreclosure defense knowledge — the kind typically reserved for those who can afford expensive legal teams. With deep expertise in CPLR limitations periods, UCC note holder requirements, and the rapidly evolving post-FAPA landscape, Idris has developed a systematic approach to identifying and raising the defenses lenders hope homeowners never discover.

LMS provides a clearly defined limited-scope service: reviewing the case file, identifying every viable defense, and assisting in preparing written materials you may choose to use in your own filings. This "brief-only" model keeps costs manageable while ensuring homeowners have professionally prepared opposition papers — not blank pages — when facing their lender in court.

LMS stays current on every significant New York foreclosure decision, including the Court of Appeals' landmark November 2025 rulings in Ponce De Leon and Van Dyke, the 2026 Appellate Division decisions confirming FAPA's retroactive constitutionality, and the critical warning that loan modification agreements can revive an expired statute of limitations even after it has run.
